User permission management
The guest user is not allowed to access and download detailed information such as time series or geodata. The same holds for accessing restricted and account specific functions like language settings (the guest user uses English language). For an individual dataset, specific permissions may have been defined by the dataset owner and such might differ from default settings.
You have to register in OBIS to get the permission for the different functions. The standard guest user has restricted view rights. When you are registered you get permissions for viewing full datasets, editing or downloading data. Please note: The authorization is given always for specific modules within OBIS. Having full access to time series data does not mean, that you have the same permission for the work with geodata.
